FESCO bills Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar and Chiniot. Faisalabad itself is the country's textile centre, which means FESCO carries an unusually heavy mix of commercial and industrial connections alongside ordinary domestic supply.
That mix matters more than it sounds, and it comes up later in this piece. First, the part everybody actually came for.
The reference number
It is printed near the top of every FESCO bill, labelled "Reference No.", and it runs to 14 digits. It does not change from month to month.
The customer ID sits nearby and is shorter. It will not work for an online check, and confusing the two is why most lookups come back empty.
Put the 14 digits in your phone notes today. Once saved, you never need to keep a paper bill again, which is worth something if you rent and your landlord is casual about passing post along.
Lost every copy? FESCO's helpline is 118. Asking a neighbour on the same meter batch is often quicker, because reference numbers along one street run in sequence.
Checking your bill
Go to the FESCO bill page, enter your 14 digits and submit. The current bill appears with units consumed, amount payable, issue date and due date. You can view it, download it as a PDF or print it.

If the page will not open at all, that is normally your internet provider filtering it rather than a fault at the site. Turn on a free VPN, Proton VPN or Windscribe, and it loads straight away.
Downloading a duplicate
Most people searching for a FESCO bill check want a duplicate rather than curiosity about their usage. The bill did not arrive, or a bank has asked for a utility bill, or a visa application needs proof of address.
The downloaded copy comes from FESCO's own billing records, so it is the same document the postman would have delivered. Banks accept it. So do landlords, tax filings and visa applications. Print as many copies as you need.
If you rent, save the PDF each month as it is issued. It takes seconds and closes off any later disagreement about who paid what.
Domestic and commercial bills are not the same
Here is where Faisalabad differs from most cities. A great many FESCO connections are shops, workshops, small textile units and offices, and commercial tariffs work differently from domestic ones. Rates per unit differ, fixed charges differ, and time-of-use metering applies to a lot of commercial and industrial supply, meaning electricity consumed during peak evening hours costs more than the same units used off peak.
If you run a business on a commercial connection, that peak and off-peak split is the largest lever you have. Shifting heavy load away from peak hours changes the bill in a way that no amount of switching off lights ever will.
Do not compare a commercial bill against a neighbour's domestic one and conclude something is wrong. They are priced on separate schedules.
Reading the bill
Units consumed is the gap between this month's meter reading and last month's. Compare it month on month.
Energy charge is units times the slab rate that applies to you. The rate climbs with consumption on domestic supply.
Fuel price adjustment shifts every month based on what generating the electricity actually cost, applied a couple of months behind. It is why identical usage can produce different totals.
Fixed charges apply regardless of consumption.
Then sales tax, electricity duty, the television fee and a quarterly adjustment that appears periodically.
The two amounts at the bottom are for paying on time and paying late. The difference between them is avoidable.
Paying
JazzCash, Easypaisa, your bank's app, internet banking and ATMs all take the same reference number. Cash at a designated branch still works.
Hold on to the confirmation until the payment clears, which can take a day or two.
When it does not work
Recount your digits. Fourteen exactly, no spaces.
If the page will not load rather than returning "not found", that is connectivity, and a VPN sorts it.
If the number is correct, the connection is not new and the site loads fine, ring 118 and ask whether the reference number is active at their end.
Moved away from Faisalabad
Your reference number belongs to the meter, not to you. Move to Gujranwala, Sialkot or Gujrat and your bills come from GEPCO instead, which lives on the GEPCO bill page. Lahore is LESCO, southern Punjab is MEPCO, and the twin cities are IESCO.
The company name is printed at the top of any bill for the property, which settles it in seconds.
